Meet us in Greece for a full-day multi-topic workshop following the Society for Applied Neuroscience meeting. This workshop will also build on and expand the material presented at the Society meeting by Dr. Collura and Dr. Klein.
The SAN meeting is from May 5-8 at the Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece
SAN presentations will include:
Thursday, May 5 4:10 pm –6:15 PM: Thomas F. Collura – Validation of a global live z-scores protocol; mechanism, within-subject results, and a randomized controlled study. Plenary Talk.
Friday, May 6 4:00PM – 6:00 PM: Doerte Klein and Thomas F. Collura – Remote Training/Tele-Neurofeedback – Real-time Z-score training, special disorders, SMC and Autism Spectrum, ASD, Case-reports. Plenary Talk
Sunday, May 8 2:00PM – 6:00 PM: Thomas F. Collura and Doerte Klein – Basic & Advanced Live Z-Score Targeting and Clnical Strategies. Hands-on Workshop.
Neurofeedback and Biofeedback Update and Practicum
Monday, May 9, 2011 – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Daios Luxury Living Hotel, 59 Nikis Avenue, Thessaloniki, Greece, Kosten: 100 $
Presented by: Thomas F. Collura, Ph.D. and Doerte Klein, Ph.D.
This will be a multifaceted workshop focusing on current and emerging techniques in neurofeedback and biofeedback. Emphasis will be on QEEG assessment and monitoring, QEEG-based neurofeedback training using Live Z-Scores combined with conventional protocols, and DC and Slow Cortical Potentials. Heart-Rate Variability training and peripheral biofeedback will also be discussed, based upon attendee interest.
This is an opportunity to experience hands-on assessment and training. Attendees should bring their BrainMaster equipment, or plan to work with someone who has equipment. Emphasis will be placed on Live Z-Score and QEEG. Each participant will have the opportunity to articulate the technical foundations of EEG neurofeedback, including neurophysiology, electronics, signal processing, and user-interfacing, and to understand QEEG and Live Z-Score Training.
This will include discussion of the technical basis of EEG Biofeedback, and the interpretation of amplitude, phase, frequency, and related EEG data Basic neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of EEG rhythms , and the principles of computerized EEG analysis.
